Vintage Amphora Art Deco Era Pitcher, Turin-Teplitz Bohemia Czechoslovakia Glaze.
This is a gorgeous amphora Art Nouveau era pitcher Circa 1905, in the Egyptian Revival style with a geometric triangular spout.
Stamped on the base with “Amphora, Czechoslovakia” and manufactured in the Turin-Teplitz region of Bohemia.
This vase was crafted in high Art Deco, a style characterized by its use of geometric shapes and vibrant colors.
The Egyptian revival trend was popular at the turn of the 20th Century.
Fawn colored pottery base with white pebbled glazing that makes it feel kind of bumpy. Multicolored ribbons of shapes create the illusion of a string of flowers. The handle is decorated with blue triangle shapes. Pour spout is triangular and functional from all three points. Accents of gold enhance the beauty and the impression that this was inspired by Egyptian art. The vase measures approximately 8 1/4″ x 4″.
